Luna was at her wits end. Sitting in her office at 617 Wronski Way, she had called into the Quibbler and told her reporters that she was feeling ill and she would work at home today. She had been working on the locater charms for finding Harry Potter from 7 this morning until 1 in the afternoon, not even stopping for breakfast or lunch.

Her Ravenclaw persona was in full swing: not allowing herself to make any mistakes, systematically checking and rechecking her spells, cursing herself when they went wrong. She thought that the simple locater spell that worked on the full moon was sure to work, but the full moon had come and gone and she was left with a heavy heart, and an even heavier Freddy.

She felt guilty everytime she looked at him. She had promised she could help him, but every morning he looked at her with hope that she had broken through this bad luck and had found a way to locate his hero. His depression had led him to compulsively eat, leaving Luna to go food shopping every other day. She hated to admit it, but if she couldn't find a way to help Freddy and get him on his feet, she would have to result to drastic measures. She couldn't be taking care of the both of them on the salary she made. He is a capable young man, and she vowed that if she couldn't find a way to find Harry by tonight, she would have to call it quits with the whole thing. Freddy would have to move out and get along without meeting Harry and that was that. She couldn't help him anymore.

Still, her Ravenclaw senses were in high gear and she was putting all of herself into these locator spells. She hunched over her cauldron and sipped her tea. She still couldn't understand why her spells weren't working. True, her best subjects in school were ancient runes and astrology, but she was well above many of the student in her year at spell making. But for the life of her she couldn't make this work.

She rose from her stool and rubbed her neck. She had to get up an move, or she feared the stool she sat on would become a permanent part of her anatomy. She started to make for the kitchen to make herself a sandwich, when she noticed a golden mist settling on her floor, not all over, but in a distinct line down the carpeted hallway. She followed it, and found that there wasn't just one. A light blue line, more of a light than a shimmery mist, settled directly parallel to the golden mist line, joining with a red pulsing laser-like like, all leading from her office to her front door. She opened the front door and she could see the three beams all leading down Wronski Way and through Hogsmeade. She waved her hand through the beams but they did not waver.

She had done it.

She dropped the cup of tea and it pilled all over the floor, spilling luke warm tea on her cream colored carpet. She didn't even notice.

"Freddy! Freddy, put on you coat! My charms are working! We're going to see Harry!"
