Who: Ron Weasley, Remus Lupin, Harry Potter
Where: 12 Grimmauld Place
Summary: Ron approaches Remus about joining Dumbledore's Army. Harry overhears.
Ron re-read the Owl Neville had sent detailing his position in Dumbledore's Army and asking if Ron would be interested in joining. He'd have to move to Hogsmeade, where the DA was now based. Although Ron had only recently moved into Grimmauld Place with Harry and Hermione, it was becoming a bit too crowded for his liking with the addition of one Draco Malfoy. Ron still hadn't forgiven Hermione for the way she'd allowed that arse to actually invade the sanctity of their new home. Tension was mounting, and now Hermione seemed to be taking Malfoy's side more often. Ron wondered what she thought she was doing with that son of a Death Eater. She knew better than to get involved with filth like that.
Ever since Neville's Owl arrived, Ron had been thinking more and more of leaving his current abode. His parents would surely think him mad to leave, but he felt he needed to break away and be on his own for a bit. The feelings he'd had toward Harry were beginning to affect his ability to function and he was scared that he might do something impulsive one day, like declare his love or something equally embarrassing. There was not even a hint of returned interest from Harry, just the same old best friend he'd always had. In a way, Ron was glad for it. He could rely on Harry to be who he was and not be a big emotional wreck like yours truly.
Tucking the Owl into his trouser pocket, Ron went downstairs looking for Remus. He thought perhaps his old Professor might be able to lend some advice, especially since he was the peacekeeper in the house.
Ron peeked into the kitchen, and, finding it empty, strolled past the portrait of Mrs. Black and into the living room.
