Who: Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger
Where: High Street, Oxford
Summary: Draco and Hermione meet for dinner.
Hermione was waiting at the entrance to the quad of the college. She was tired as she'd just finished a gruelling session with her Potions tutor, but it also had been a satisfying session. She now had some ideas to work on for a honours paper and was eagerly looking forward to a researching session in the uni library tne next day.
She looked at her watch; it was five minutes after the hour. Draco was a bit late, which was unsusual for the boy she'd never known to be late for a class at Hogwarts.
'Are you waiitng for someone, Miss, or shall I call you a cab?' It was the college porter.
She thanked him but declined politely. 'No thanks, Mr. Phelps. I'm waiting for a friend.' Satisfied, he nodded and went back into his station. while she brooded.
Since when had she started thinking of Draco Malfoy as a friend? He certainly had been much nicer than he'd ever been in school, and to his credit, he had never used the "M-word." But then if he valued hs life, he never would in the same house as Harry or Ron. He still was somewhat of an enigma, but she could understand the need for wariines with a father like Lucius Malfoy. Her reverie was broken by the sound of a throat being cleared behind her. She whirled about, to find Mafloy standing next to her. looking rather amused.
