Who: Hannah Abbott, Sirius Black
Where: The Three Broomsticks, Hogsmeade
Summary: Sirius tells Hannah about moving back to Grimmauld Place... a decision is made. Or is it? Hell, they have no idea.
Sirius lay sprawled out on the bed, lost in a sea of clothes and junk, most of which he'd accumulated during his stay in Hogsmeade. It was harder then he'd thought, sorting through and packing his few material objects, preparing to move back in to Grimmauld Place. It had been a couple of weeks, since he'd visited Harry and they'd planned out his return, and even though he was glad to finally be moving in with his Godson, it was a royal pain to pack. So he was taking a break. A well deserved one at that, after a strenuous half an hour of stuffing things into suitcases.
Well, one suitcase. The rest of his things were currently cluttering up the rest of the mattress, the desk, and the floor. But he'd get around to finishing it up. After his nap, and dinner, and maybe some drinks. And then there was always the task of breaking the news of his move to Hannah, something he'd been adamantly avoiding.
Slowly he drifted off, still on his back, head hanging over the edge of the bed, feet propped up on the chair, mouth hanging slightly open. He was just drifting off into the land of deeper sleep, when someone knocked on the door, just loud enough to startle him, eyes shooting open. "Yeah, c'min," he mumbled as he yawned, not bothering to get up. "It's open."
Hannah bounced, literally, into the room, the smile that normally graced her pretty face constantly positively beaming. “Sirius,” she laughed, looking around the room. “Planning a yard sale? Or is it just time to buy entirely new belongings and you’re taking an inventory?”
"Ah, if it isn't Miss Abbott, the Three Broomsticks resident beam of sunshine," Sirius said, stretching as he propped up on one elbow to look at the girl, a smile crossing his own lips. Completely avoiding the reason as to why his things were every where, he motioned around the room animatedly, running a hand through his hair. "Have a seat, if you can find one. I think there's some room between that pile of boxes."
Hannah chuckled again, gently picking her way through the debris littered around the room. “So, are you busy today?” she asked, taking a precarious seat on the arm of a chair.
Sirius shook his head, sitting up to lean against the headboard. "Not really. Just making a mess, thinking about getting some dinner. Yourself?" He blinked heavily, rubbing at his eyes absently, working the sleep out of them.
Hannah chuckled, shaking her head. “Nothing. The kids are occupied, and Rosmerta’s told me that if I don’t take today off, she’ll fire me. So…” she sighed, “I’m stuck with nothing to do. Need any help?”
"I can always use some help I suppose…" He looked at her for a moment, considering. It wasn't really fair of him to keep her in the dark, and she was going to figure it out eventually. Plus, Sirius thought to himself, what is there to worry about? It's just Hannah, and I'm just moving back to London. It's not like I'll never see her. "Hannah, can I ask you something? It's a little random, I know, but…what do you think of…whatever this weird relationship of ours is called?"
Hannah’s heart stopped in her chest and her eyes widened at Sirius’s question. She swallowed and licked her lips before answering. “Um… wh-why do you ask?” she said, a hint of her nervousness slipping into her voice. I did something wrong. I know it. He’s going to tell me I’m a stupid little girl and he never wants to see me again and I… I… I should just go and die now…
Sirius licked his teeth, shrugging his shoulders a little. It was just London. It wasn't like he was crossing the face of the earth. "Because…I'm moving, Hannah, back to London. I ran into Harry, and we discussed it, and I'm going back to Grimmauld Place. And I was just wondering that…if I'm not here…if we can still…do…whatever it is we're doing now. Just making sure that it's not a pity thing, or a convenient thing…"
Hannah felt as though all the air in the room had been stolen and she couldn’t breathe. Like she’d been kicked in the stomach by his news. “Moving? When?” she asked, her shocked mind not even beginning to grasp the rest of what he’d said. He’s leaving? He can’t leave!
"Not for awhile still. Another week or more…" Sirius bit his lip, adverting his eyes to the window. This was exactly the sort of reaction he'd been expecting. Now she'd tell him that she really just pitied him, and him being there had been convenient, but traveling back and forth to London wasn't worth it.
Hannah wrapped her arms around her waist, chewing her bottom lip as she just watched Sirius look out the window. She swallowed hard, blinking back the water in her eyes. “I’ll miss you,” she said softly, sadly, trying to give herself a mental pep talk. C’mon, Han! It’s just London. You’ll be able to see him once in a while…
Sirius nodded, still not able to look at her. He felt bad, for just up and leaving, but this was his Godson, and this was something they'd both always wanted. To live together, and just get to know one another. "The feelings mutual kid, but I'll come by, as often as I can. That is, if you want me too…"
“Of course I want you to,” she said softly, biting her lip. “I love spending time with you.”
"Hey," Sirius said, pulling himself up from the bed, crossing the room to lean against the wall by where she sat. "I love spending time with you too, and just because I'm in London, it doesn't meant I'm going to stop seeing you."
Hannah gave Sirius a little half smile. “It’s going to be hard,” she said, still biting her lip.
Sirius nodded, wrinkling his nose a bit. "That's half the fun. If it wasn't hard, it'd get a bit boring."
Hannah perked a brow, sensing a hint of a challenge in his words. “Are you trying to stay that I’m boring, Mr. Black?”
"Not at all, but don't you think," he said with a smirk, ruffling her hair slightly, "that it might be interesting to see if things work themselves out?"
Hannah stood, her smile taking on a little bit of a more genuine tone. “Things don’t ‘work themselves out’… you have to make it work, if it’s what you really want.”
She looked up at him, pouting just a bit. “You don’t really think I’m a kid, do you?”
Sirius snorted, staring at the girl with flashing eyes, his smirking growing wider. "No, I don't think you're a little kid. I probably should think it, but I don't."
Licking his teeth again, he reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Do you want to try to make it work?"
Hannah took a single step closer to him, her smile growing. “I think it’d be worth the effort…”
"I am inclined to agree," Sirius said, squeezing her shoulder slightly. "I think I'll be making a lot of trips to Hogsmeade…"
“And I think the kids and I will be making quite a few trips down to London…” Hannah brought her hand up and laid it gently on Sirius’s, caressing the rough skin on the back of his hand lightly.
Sirius smiled, licking his lips as he leaned back against the wall. "That'll be fun…plenty of things to do in London. You should all come to Grimmauld Place, stay a couple of days. I'm sure we could have a good time."
Hannah shuffled a little closer, their bodies almost touching. “We might be able to arrange that, then.” Her eyes narrowed slightly in thought as she looked up into his eyes. “What does this make us, Sirius?”
"I have no idea," Sirius said quietly, leaning in the last few inches so that his body was pressed against hers. "I suppose that it can mean, whatever we want it to mean. So it all depends on what you want. What do you want, Hannah?"
Hannah closed her eyes, letting out a shaky breath. Being so near to him was making her head swim and, for a brief second, she thought she was going to pass out. “I just want you and the kids to be happy. I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen.”
Sirius smiled, leaning his forehead against Hannah's. "You need to want things for yourself, Hannah, instead of worrying about everyone else all of the time." He pulled her into an impromptu hug, still feeling a little bad about leaving.
Hannah returned the embrace, clinging to Sirius. “I know... I know… I can’t help it though,” she whispered, burying her face in his shoulder. “You smell good,” she groaned, completely unaware that she’d spoken out loud.
"Why thank you," he said softly, rubbing her back soothingly. "I know you can't help it, and that's what makes you so endearing. That's what…attracts me to you." Sirius rested his head against hers, sighing in deeply. Leaving was going to be harder then he'd thought.
Hannah’s face flooded with heat and color as she turned her face toward his neck, her lips barely brushing his collar bone through his worn and wrinkled tee shirt. “I don’t want you to go anywhere… but if this is what’s best for you, then it’s what you have to do. I care about you too much to hold you back from what could make you happy.”
Sirius pulled back slightly, just enough to look down at Hannah, his smile fading. "I wouldn't go, if it wasn't for Harry. I made a commitment to his father, a lot of years ago, and so far, I haven't managed to hold true on my word. Now is the chance for me to make everything I did wrong, right again. But listen to me, Hannah Abbott...London or not, we'll make this work. Ok?"
Hannah nodded, trying to smile as she rubbed his back and arms. “We’ll make it work,” she agreed.
"You know what we haven't done in awhile," Sirius asked, his grin growing mischievous as he stared down at her.
Hannah perked a brow, unable to stop her lips from curling up in a slight smile of her own. “What’s that?”
Sirius just smiled again, tilting his face towards hers, their lips brushing in a brief kiss. Pulling back, he let out a slight chuckle. "I was going to say jump on the bed, but I thought this seemed like a better idea." Licking his teeth, he brought his lips to Hannah's again, this time pressing ever so slightly.
Hannah’s eyes slipped closed as she relaxed into the kiss, her hands gripping at the material of his shirt. Slowly, her lips parted and her tongue snaked out, tracing along the line of his lips. Her head was swimming, her heart pounding, and, if his arms hadn’t been around her, she would have fell to the floor.
He gently turned them around, until Hannah's back was against the wall, his tongue meeting hers to deepen the kiss. Sirius let his hands slide down to her waist, moaning low in his throat as his fingers brushed against her bare skin where her shirt had ridden up.
Hannah shivered a bit when his cool finger tips made contact with her skin and sighed into the kiss. She groaned and pulled him closer, her eyes rolling into the back of her head. Any thoughts or doubts about what they were embarking on left. She perfectly happy and alive in that moment.
"Hannah," Sirius whispered, pulling his lips away from hers to place small kisses along her jaw and neck, "I don't think we'll have any problems making this work, because I for one want it very much."
Hannah melted when Sirius pulled away, kissing her neck, and was very grateful for the wall behind her. “I do too, love,” she groaned, scratching at his arms, his shoulders, his back. Her breath was coming fast in heavy pants and she was starting to feel light headed. “Believe me, I do too.”
Sirius sucked lightly on the skin of her neck, kissing down to her collar bone before placing his lips back on hers, a little more forcefully this time. Slowly he let his hands slip beneath her shirt, his palms resting against her smooth stomach, hoping that he wasn't pushing things to far.
Hannah moaned, instantly opening her mouth to his, her tongue snaking out. She pulled back, panting heavily. “Oh, sweet Merlin, I can’t breathe…”
"I'm sorry," Sirius said, trying to catch his breath. "I didn't mean to…take it so far….sorry…"
Hannah hooked her hand around the back of his neck, pulling Sirius’s lips back to hers. “I didn’t say I wanted to stop.”
Sirius smiled into the kiss, sliding his lips smoothly along Hannah's. "Good," he mumbled against her mouth, "because I don't want to stop either."
Hannah giggled against Sirius’s lips, pulling him so close he was pinning her to the wall. “Um… love? Are you comfortable, like this?”
"A little bit," Sirius said with a chuckle, pulling away from Hannah. "I think we can remedy this." With a flourish, he swept everything off the bed, into a pile on the floor. "Much better indeed."
Hannah bit her lip, laughing as she took his hand again, stepping toward the bed. “Not too far, right?” she said, squeezing his fingers.
Sirius shook his head, giving her a knowing look. "Only as far as you want, love."
Hannah took a seat on the bed, her heart thudding painfully within her chest, and looked up at him, smiling. “I trust you, Sirius,” she whispered, tugging at his had slightly so he would join her.
"I'm going to miss you, Hannah," Sirius said softly, joining her on the bed. He kissed her gently on the cheek, his eyes shining. "It's going to be so hard to be in London, not seeing you everyday."
“I’m going to miss you too,” Hannah whispered in return, lightly caressing Sirius’s face. But we’ll be able to visit each other…” She grinned wickedly. “… And steal moments here and there.”
Sirius placed another light kiss on her, this time on the lips. "Mmm…I do like the stolen moments." He placed a hand on her arm, rubbing gently. "And you're always more then welcome to spend the night."
Hannah nodded, leaning in to kiss him again. “I may have to take you up on that offer…”
"Anytime," he whispered, kissing her hard again, using his body to nudge her back onto the mattress.
Hannah pulled Sirius down into a kiss immediately, smiling against his lips.
Sirius wasted no time kissing back, tugging lightly on Hannah's bottom lip with his teeth, teasing her playfully.
Hannah chuckled running her hands up his sides. “Feeling playful?” she asked, his kiss waking the naughty streak in her.
"Maybe," he said with a slight growl in his voice, pressing down on her with his body weight. Smirking, he let his hands go back to their resting place beneath her shirt, his eyes shining.
Her baby blue eyes twinkled in the fading light of the after noon as she bucked her hips up against his, watching his face intently. “I know I am…”
Sirius moaned slightly, responding by pushing back. "Hannah…perhaps we'd better stop… remember… we're not supposed to go to far…"
Hannah pouted a little, undulating slowly beneath him. “You said as far as I wanted to go…”
"I know that's what I said Hannah…how far do you want to go?" Sirius looked down at her, biting his lips hard as he resisted the urge to move back against her.
Hannah doubled her efforts, loving the strained look on his face. “I don’t know… I’ll let you know when it’s far enough, though.”
Sirius nodded, finally allowing himself to press back against her with his hips, his breathing growing shallow as he kissed her again.
Hannah closed her eyes, moaning his name against his lips. This was wonderful, exciting, and it felt incredible... But it was wring. She shouldn't be testing him, pushing him like this. They'd end up going further than they wanted to...
Not that she could bring herself to mind that part too much.
Sirius moaned out loud this time, his hands moving a little farther beneath the material of her shirt, panting now as he struggled to breathe. He pushed hard into the kiss, knowing in the back of his mind that their lips would probably be bruised by the time they were finished.
All rational, conscious thought left Hannah as they continued kissing and touching. Everything was a blur of feeling and wanting and needing.
After a while, Hannah pulled back, not sure about how much time had passed. Her shirt had traveled up and, somehow, the buttons on her shorts had come undone.
"What's wrong," he asked, taking in a few deep gulps of air as Hannah pulled back.
Sirius didn't seem to notice; or rather he just didn't care, about their current state of closeness, or the fact that clothes were starting to be shed. He just looked at her with wide, expectant eyes, face flushed and lips swollen. "What is it love?"
Hannah pulled Siri back down for a sweet, soft kiss, sighing his name as she pulled away again. “I think, love, that… we’re getting close to crossing that threshold.”
Sirius nodded, forcing himself to pull away from her. "I suppose you're right…we did get a bit carried away. I should have stopped myself ages ago." He gave her a small smile, running a hand through his mussed hair.
Hannah sat up, taking his lips again, leaving her clothing in the stat of disarray it had come to. “I didn’t say I wanted to stop,” she said softly, lips brushing his. “I just said that we were coming to the point where a decision should be made.”
"Hannah..I don't…I mean…just…what are you trying to say," Sirius asked, licking his lips as he stared at her. The afternoon had progressed so quickly, from discussing his moving, to them ending up in bed together, and his head was swimming, trying to decipher it all.
Hannah blushed slightly, biting her lip. “I’m, um…. I’m just saying that I’m not opposed to… taking this to another level… if, you know… you wanted to…”
Good one Han. Now you sound like a whore.
Sirius smiled at her blushing, rubbing her cheek softly. "Hannah…I don't want to do anything that you're not ready for, and I certainly don't want you to resent me later for letting you get into something you weren't ready to do…unless you know this is something you really want…."
Great. Nice time to decide to be a gentlemen Black.
“Sirius,” she said, caressing his face. “I wouldn’t suggest it if I thought I’d regret it.”
"So…it looks like we have a decision to make, Hannah Abbott," Sirius said with a smile. "But I think a better question, and probably one we need to figure out first, is exactly what are we?"
Hannah laughed, touching her forehead to Sirius’s chest, shaking it slightly. “Your guess is as good as mine.”
Sirius put his hands in her hair, petting her head gently. "Well, we should probably try to figure it out, before we…let ourselves get in to far."
Hannah pulled back, looking into his face lovingly. “What do you think we are, love?”
"I have no idea, honestly. It's been a long time, since I was with anyone. I'm just as backwards about all this as your." He gave her a small half-smile, his eyes unsure.
Hannah bit her lip, watching Sirius’s face carefully. “What do you want us to be, then?”
Sirius sighed, massaging Hannah's shoulders gently. "I want…you…and that's all I really know."
Hannah smiled brightly at Sirius, running her hands up and down his sides again. “If you want me, I’m yours,” she said softly, her eyes twinkling.
"Well then," Sirius said, giving her a slight kiss on the lips, "I propose something. Lets go out to dinner. Me and you, and the kids if you want. And then we'll come back, and I'll pack up the rest of my stuff…and then you can spend the night with me. Hm?"
Hannah kissed back, straightening her top. “That sounds like a good plan to me,” she whispered, giving him one last kiss before slipping from the bed.
Sirius smirked, giving her a pat on the bottom, accompanied by a wink. "Go on then, and get dressed. I'll meet you downstairs in twenty minutes."
“Where are you taking us?” Hannah asked, righting her clothes. “Someplace swanky or more casual?”
"We had pizza last night, lets go someplace nicer this evening," he said after a brief moment of consideration. A good end, to a fairly good day."
Hannah smiled, blowing him a small kiss as she made her way past the boxes and to the door. “Alright, love,” she said. “I’ll make sure the kids and I are dressed accordingly.”
Sirius caught the kiss, and made a show of tucking it into his pocket. "Brilliant. Are you feeling better about my leaving then," he asked hopefully, biting his lip
"No," she said, grinning. "But a few more kisses like that and I think you can change my mind."
"Trust me, there are many more where those came from," he said with a wink, ushering her out the door. "Go, pretty up, we're going to have a lovely evening. No more talking about moving today. Just us and the kids tonight, enjoying ourselves."
Hannah nodded, eyes twinkling as she bounced next door to her room, sighing happily as she got the kids ready for their ‘date’.
